The process for registration involves the following steps:

  1. You submit your request to the OpenDOF TC at dof-tc@opendof.org. The request should contain a justification for the need of a new attribute code and its proposed use.
  2. If approved, the OpenDOF TC will assign a code and provide any other feedback.
  3. You then document the new code and submit the document to the OpenDOF TC.
  4. The OpenDOF TC will publish the new attribute Code information.
